Went to work today. I knew there was a special party coming in to eat a family style meal and I thought that the people who would be there today would know the details, since I was not blessed with the details. I also knew we were down 1 person today so it would be a hard working day for me. So, I get to the restaurant and start doing my thing. My server for this special party comes in and starts asking me questions about the party. And I have no idea how to answer him. I don't know when they are coming in. I don't know how many people. I don't know what we are serving or where we are seating them. But, I think it's fine, the owners will be here soon and they know all that. So, eventually the owners arrive, and they have no clue what is going on either. Apparently, this was the party set by the GM and when we tried to call him to get details - he's unavailable. So, we are trying to put things together and a menu together and I'm trying to run food and all this stuff. In the end, we pull it together and it goes off smoothly and everyone is happy. But, whoa. Seriously. So, I closed up shop and wrote my ending report keeping in mind that I'm leaving for 2 weeks starting tomorrow morning so they are on their own. EEP!
Time to pack and do the last clean up of the house.
