Guess I just wanted my first blog that wasn't about Mardi Gras. Work is boring. Nothing to talk about there. Although, I do want to bitch about something. The Friday before I left for Mardi Gras, my boss made me stay late to draft some papers because one of our whiney clients kept on bitching to the union. Anyways. I stayed late to do the paperwork and then I was told it would be filed with the courts on Monday. Low and behold. I get back the following week and the problem has been solved during the week I was away - because it was already being taken care of. And the papers haven't even been filed in court, so I wasted my time. And then on top of that, during lunch, my boss tried to tell me how he had to write the papers and I was like, excuse me?? But, that was MY work. And, WITHOUT EMBARASSMENT, he just goes, "oh, yeah, you did do that." I would like to say that shocked me, but it doesn't. I'm sure he's taken credit for a ton of things I've done in the past.
Anyways, that's my current bitch about work. Except that it's super slow and super boring. I need to be assigned more cases, but my boss who will get it done is not in the office. So, I've been going in late and coming home early. Yay! Which also means that I have had more time on FFXI doing my thing on that.
Ahead of schedule, the freak that I am. But this blog will not be about FFXI. =) At least not this entry. That's all I gotta say. Life is kinda boring at the moment. I will finish the Mardi Gras entry tomorrow, hopefully, if I don't get too lazy.

Mardi Gras Day Three - Mardi Gras
I know, I was lax about finishing this. So, this morning, we got up and we decided to eat at the hotel breakfast since everything was closed. I had my first taste of grits! How exciting. Then we went out to go walk around. But the Zulu parade was just going back as we walked, so we stopped to watch it and get some beads and stuff. It was pleasant. It was kinda funny. It was near the end of the parade, I think everyone was tired. Just throw out the dang bags of beads, who cares about opening the bags and separating the beads, right? But everyone on the street was super nice. If they caught a bag, they would just pass out the beads to the people next to them.
Then we headed back to Bourbon street because there was going to be a costume contest in the "gay area". And let me tell you, it was crowded like crazy. Just TONS of people. I'll have to post pictures eventually. We managed to get to a balcony of one of the clubs and some of the men there were nice enough to let us hang out with them near the front so we could see. It was quite crazy and very nice. People just standing around. All the crazy costumes. Some people gave us beads, so we tossed some of those to the crowd. Bead tossing is not that fun, especially if you don't care to see boobs. =)
Then we headed to have some lunch - Court of the Two Sisters. Po Boys and Gumbo! Yum! So spicy for me though. My mouth was on fire the whole entire time I was there. =)
After that, we went back home for nap time. Then we grabbed a quick dinner at Red Grill or something like that. I shared some seafood soup with B and we also shared some alligator sausage gumbo. I think I ate lots nad lots of gators. That night, we got properly dressed and headed out to party. Once again. Crazy night on Bourbon street. So, T, our security guard said no straight club because he couldn't protect us. So we headed to the gay club. And that was...omg. Guys groping and stroking the Gogo boys. Guys giving blowjobs on stage. Making out on stage. It was insane. But we just danced the night away. Then we went to the balcony again to just look at everyone. And we saw a fight break out - it was insane. Cops on horses chasing this guy down and the crowd parting. We took the beads that we had and threw them back at the crowds. I had a good time yelling down at the Indian boys trying to get them to hit on P. Made some more friends on the balcony. I think the highlight of my night was being told I was hot and what I was wearing was hot by this gorgeous gay guy with the prettiest blue eyes. And was just like: "You'd find her hot if you were straight!". It was the BEST complement a girl could get. One shady old man tried to get me to show him my boobs from the balcony for some crappy beads. Yeah right. But he was quite persistant. I told him my boobs were private property!
And since it was such a crazy and dangerous night, we headed home relatively early since we didn't want to get injured. It was a good night. And I was exhausted anyways.
